ANTIBIOTICS ARE NOT EFFECTIVE FOR ALL DISEASES. USE THEM ONLY WHEN NECESSSARY.

Antibiotics DO NOT HELP AGAINST VIRUSES

Antibiotics have no effect on the flu, colds, acute bronchitis or most forms of ear and throat infections. Why not? Because these infections are caused by viruses.

Antibiotics are ONLY EFFECTIVE AGAINST BACTERIA

Antibiotics only help against diseases caused by bacteria. Only then will they prove their worth. With serious infections such as pneumonia and bacterial meningitis, they can save lives.

Antibiotics are also NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY, even for bacterial infections

Bacterial infections also often clear up spontaneously after a few days. In that case, our body has produced specific antibodies to eliminate the infection, with our very own immune system. And this will always remain the best solution. You should therefore only take antibiotics when your doctor thinks it is necessary.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
